Mobile battery change

Car battery replacement in Dubai, done where your car is parked

A technician comes to your home, office or car park with the right battery for your vehicle, tests the old one, fits the new one and checks your charging system before leaving.

What mobile battery replacement means

Mobile car battery replacement means you do not take the car anywhere. A technician drives to where it is parked, confirms that the battery is the problem, and swaps it for one that matches your car’s size, terminal layout, capacity and technology.

The work usually takes less time than a workshop visit. Cars with battery management systems, which includes many recent European models, also need the new battery registered with the car’s computer. We do that as part of the job.

What every replacement includes

  • Diagnosis first

We test the battery and starter circuit so you do not pay for a battery the car did not need.

  • Correct battery match

Size, terminal position, capacity and AGM, EFB or conventional technology matched to your car.

  • Memory and settings care

Where the car allows it, we keep radio codes, seat and clock settings by supporting power during the swap.

  • Registration and coding

Battery registration with the car’s computer on vehicles that require it.

  • Charging check

Alternator output tested after fitting, so you know the new battery will be charged properly.

  • Responsible disposal

Your old lead-acid battery is taken away for recycling.

Warning signs

Signs your car battery needs replacing

Batteries in Dubai often fail with little warning, because summer heat damages them from the inside. Watch for these signs:

  • The engine cranks slowly, especially on the first start of the day
  • You hear clicking but the engine does not turn over
  • The battery warning light appears on the dashboard
  • Start-stop has stopped working or shows a message
  • Lights dim or electrics flicker when you start the car
  • The battery case is swollen or leaking
  • The battery is more than two to three summers old

Battery technology

Choosing the right battery technology

The right technology depends on how your car was built, not on price. The golden rule: never fit a lower technology than the car came with.

Conventional (flooded)

Standard lead-acid battery with liquid electrolyte.

The most common and affordable type. Heat speeds up water loss and plate corrosion, so in Dubai they tend to wear out faster than in cooler climates.

Best for: Cars without start-stop that were built for a conventional battery.

EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery)

Stronger flooded battery built for more frequent cycling.

Handles repeated starts better than a conventional battery. A car that came with EFB should get EFB or AGM, never a conventional battery.

Best for: Entry-level start-stop systems and cars originally fitted with EFB.

AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat)

Sealed battery with electrolyte held in glass mats.

Spill-proof, vibration-resistant and built for deep cycling. Common in European premium cars and often fitted in the boot or under a seat. A car built for AGM must stay on AGM.

Best for: Advanced start-stop, energy recovery and cars with heavy electrical demand.

Why matching matters

A battery that fits is not always the right battery

Two batteries can have the same case size and still be wrong for your car. A vehicle built for an AGM battery will charge a conventional one in a way that shortens its life, and start-stop can stop working altogether.

Capacity also matters. Too small, and the battery struggles in summer heat with the air conditioning running. Going much larger than specified does not help either, because the charging system is set up for the original rating.

That is why we start from your car’s specification, or the label of the battery already fitted, rather than whatever is on the shelf.

FAQ

Car Battery Replacement: common questions

How long does a car battery replacement take?

The replacement itself is usually short. Cars where the battery sits under a seat or in the boot, or that need registration, take a little longer. The technician will tell you on arrival.

Will I lose my radio or settings?

On most cars we can support the electrical system during the swap so settings stay in place. Some cars still need windows or the clock reset afterwards; we will show you how.

Do you bring the battery with you?

Yes. Once we know your vehicle, the technician brings suitable options. If a car uses an unusual battery, we confirm availability before coming.

What happens to my old battery?

We take it away. Lead-acid batteries are recyclable and should never go in household waste.

Is a car battery change the same as replacement?

Yes. People use “battery change” and “battery replacement” to mean the same job: removing the old battery and fitting a new one.
